1. Who We Are

Chalsave Investment Group (CIG) operates chalsave.com, a private member portal for disciplined saving and collective investment. CIG is not registered with the Bank of Uganda or any cooperative authority. Membership is alumni-only and voluntary per our Terms of Service.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account Info: Name, email, phone, ID/KYC details for alumni verification. Members must be 18 years and older.
  • Contribution Data: MTN MoMo payment screenshots, payment references.
  • Portal Usage: Login details, IP address, device info, and activity logs for security and reconciliation.
  • Meetings & Governance: Attendance records for mandatory group meetings and voting records for major decisions.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Membership: Verify alumni status and manage cohort size of 20–30 members per group.
  • Funds Tracking: Track each member’s capital stake and share account statements monthly via email and portal per Funds Safety & Transparency.
  • Payments: Reconcile payments sent with member screenshots.
  • Communication: Notify members of Terms changes, meetings, investment updates, and year-end profit distributions.
  • Security: Prevent fraud and maintain records per Risk & Disclaimers.

4. How We Share Your Data

  • Group Transparency: Stakes, transactions, and account status are shared transparently in the group and Chalsave Portal as stated in TOS.
  • Service Providers: Hosting, SMS, and email providers used only to run the portal and send notifications. They cannot use your data for other purposes.
  • Legal: If required by law, court order, or to protect CIG members from fraud.

5. Data Security & Storage

We use access controls and secure hosting for chalsave.com. However, no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your portal password safe.

6. Your Rights

  • Access & Correction: View and update your contribution records and stake details in the Chalsave Portal anytime.
  • Deletion: Request data deletion upon exit, subject to cycle rules, group capital protection policies, and legal record-keeping requirements.
  • Notifications: Opt out of non-essential communications while keeping mandatory updates about contributions and meetings.

7. Changes to This Policy

CIG may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Members will be notified of any changes by posting the revised Policy in the group and on the Chalsave Portal. Continued participation after changes means you accept the updated Policy, same as our Terms of Service.
